Subcontract
A contract by which a person (the subcontractor) agrees to render services or provide material necessary for the performance of another contract, i.e. a secondary contract which is subject to a primary contract. Simply put, a subcontract can be understood as a form of legally binding delegation.
For example, if B contracted to build a house for A, B may then subcontract with C to paint the house.
